I had just started my business this past spring when I got an email from Deanna asking me to photograph her wedding this coming June. Having known Deanna since middle school, I was so honored and excited to be a part of her wedding day.
The day of Deanna and Paul’s wedding, my sister, Sara (my assistant/second shooter) and I got to the venue early to scope it out. It was being held at Las Mananitas in Brewster, NY, a local Mexican restaurant that we frequented often but had never seen a private event, such as a wedding, being held there. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The ceremony was set up looking over the East Branch Reservoir, an absolutely breathtaking back drop. The food was amazing, quesadillas made on the spot and guacamole galore. The drinks were non-stop, from green salted margaritas to sangria and of course, tequila shots. I mean, who doesn’t love a margarita on a summer day?!
Paul’s two daughters were absolutely adorable and you see the love between the 4 of them is very strong. The girls could not be separated from Deanna and Paul during the entire day. Including the ceremony, where they planted themselves right in front of the bride and groom the entire time. It was precious.
All in all, it was an absolutely beautiful day filled with love, dancing and fun. Thank you Sara, for helping me capture this amazing wedding and for always being at my side.
