For our one year wedding anniversary weekend we decided to get away with some friends and my sister. We headed to Mystic, CT for a long weekend and were so excited. We have been to Mystic plenty of times throughout our lives and it’s always nice to go back when we can.
The weather was not the best for part of the weekend so when we weren’t at the beach, we passed the time by fishing, visiting the Mystic Aquarium and eating. Lots and lots of eating. Even though I do not actually fish, I love seaports and Mystic is definitely one of the best. The boats, water and surrounding area are so beautiful and peaceful, it makes you never want to leave.
I realized when I got home I should have taken more pictures of us but I was so enticed by the beauty of the town that I completely forgot. Hope you enjoy my homage to Mystic!
The Mystic Seaport 🙂
Nemo at the Mystic Aquarium!
The bird exhibit was one of the best parts of the aquarium.
This little boy was so proud of himself. It was too cute not to capture. (notice the bird in the other guys pocket!)
Experimenting at night photography. It was super dark so I balanced my camera on a flat surface so it wouldn’t be blurry.
Ajay and Ted caught a fish!
We ate at Mystic Pizza the first night we were there! I mean, how could we not?!

Jessica, I enjoyed your tribute to Mystic. It brought back many fond memories for me. Looking out at the water and ships always felt very calming to me. Kind of like OM. Great pics.
Keep it up I so enjoy viewing your work.
